Sam’s work with OG+S focuses on helping businesses unlock their potential through meeting their legal goals. For new businesses, Sam advises clients on how to best form their business. Whether it is through trademark, copyright, or trade secret, Sam helps clients identify their valuable intellectual property, as well as how to use and protect it. Finally, Sam assists his clients through contract drafting and review to identify and mitigate risk, seek favorable terms for clients, and ensure clients understand what is contained within the four corners of the contract.

Prior to his career as a lawyer, Sam worked in the tech industry, primarily in quality assurance and regulatory compliance. He is a graduate of University of Wisconsin Law School (J.D.), as well as the University of Michigan (B.A. Political Science and German).

Sam enjoys being involved in his community. He serves as OG+S’s representative in the Middleton Chamber of Commerce, leads a Bible study at Redeemer City Church, chairs the Marketing Committe for the Madison Parks Foundation, and is a regular volunteer with the IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.
